
TAIPAN TONE Control Plates One of my pet peeves on a T-Style guitar is that all the control plates made are still using the same thickness material that Leo first used (.048 thousands). Over time pick guard thickness has gotten thicker, giving you a step between the guard and the control plate. Our TAIPAN TONE Control Plates are offered in a .060 thickness as well as a .090 thickness so that it matches the pick guard allowing for a smooth transition between the two. On our Control Plates we move the hole for the Volume pot back ever so slightly reducing the pinch point between the Volume Knob and the Switch Tip when set in the back position. Our slot is also longer than the stock one so if you want to run a 4 way switch it will fit without you having to file down the sides of the switch or try to lengthen the slot on your own. We also offer custom Control Plates configured to your specifications. No longer are you limited to the stock configuration.
